A Klaviyo expert who checks whether the flows actually sent

Most Klaviyo accounts are not underbuilt. They are built and quietly not running. The first thing I do is prove which flows are really sending, to how many people.

The check almost nobody runs

On a client account a 13 email weekly sequence had sent 7 emails in 90 days against a 488 person list. Klaviyo reported the flow as live for three weeks. The check that found it was sends against list size, which takes about a minute.

Why it happened, so you can check your own

The flow was triggered on Added to List, and that trigger only fires forward. The 488 people were already on the list before the flow existed, so not one of them ever entered. Nothing in the interface warns you. If you built a flow after populating its list, you probably have this.

Flows, in the order that pays

Welcome first, because it was the single best performer on that account at $1,120 from 114 sends. Then cart, then browse, then post purchase, then the weekly drip. Built in that order because that is the order the revenue arrives in.

The numbers on your dashboard may not be real

That same account displayed a 92 percent open rate. It was 238 opens on 263 sends, inflated by Apple Mail Privacy Protection auto opens on a small base. Above roughly 50 percent you are measuring machines. Click rate, revenue per recipient and average order value are the figures worth reporting.

Thirty minutes. If this is not your bottleneck I will tell you what is.
